I’m all ears

I’m all ears. When you hear this it doesn’t mean that someone has BIG ears! It simply means that someone is ready and willing to listen to you. So go ahead and say whatever is on your mind… Although it might go in one ear and out the other or fall on deaf ears - two other good ear expressions to start the new year!

Examples

“I hear you’re planning on building your dream home. Tell me more, I’m all ears.

“I told them to take an umbrella, but it went in one ear and out the other. They got drenched in the rain.”

“I told her that we were planning on moving to the country, but it fell on deaf ears. She didn’t listen, as always!”
